old "haikus" about Smokey

We lost our little girl, Smokey, whom we've had for 14 or 15 years now. She was the cat that kept all the other animals in check. I found these couple "haikus" in a sketchbook:

her grey black frame silent
as she stalks across the carpet
trees rustle in night breeze

I stumble out of bed
into the darkness of the hall
her claw reaches out
